Brass (पीतल) scrap is priced by how clean and pure it is. The cleaner the metal, the less a smelter has to refine it, and the closer your rate gets to the top of the range.

How we set today’s rate
Indian scrap rates have no official daily list. We start from the international refined brass price, converted to rupees each day, and apply a scrap factor for grade and processing cost. That is why our rate moves with the market instead of staying fixed for weeks.
Getting the top of the range
- Remove steel screws, handles and plastic. Attachments are deducted from the weight.
- Keep turnings dry and separate. Oily or mixed swarf prices lower.
- Separate chrome-plated fittings from clean brass.
- Use a magnet. If it sticks, there is iron inside that will be deducted.
