Nothing recoverable goes to landfill
Dropped in a bin or sold into an informal scrap channel, old electronics are burnt or stripped in the open and the rest is dumped. Through an organised recycler the metals and plastics are recovered and the hazardous fractions are handled under the E-Waste (Management) Rules, 2022.
Working devices get a second life
Anything still usable is tested and refurbished for continued use rather than broken down for scrap, so a working laptop or phone keeps serving someone instead of becoming raw material.

Is e-waste donation pickup free in Mumbai?
Yes. Pickup is free anywhere in Mumbai, Thane and Navi Mumbai, even for a single item, and you can book it 24/7 on WhatsApp or by calling 99878 63002. You can also drop off at our Dahisar West, Kandivali West or Bhandup West branches.
Will I get paid for my old laptop or phone?
If a device still works or has resale value, we quote you a price before pickup. You can take the money or donate it. Non-working items are collected free.
Is my personal data safe?
Yes. Storage on laptops, phones and hard drives is wiped before anything is reused. If a drive cannot be wiped, it is physically destroyed. Companies can ask for a data destruction certificate.
Do I get a certificate for donating?
Yes. You get a Green Certificate in your name, your society’s name or your company’s name. It lists the items collected and the weight kept out of landfill, and is sent on WhatsApp.
Can I donate broken or non-working electronics?
Yes. Broken and non-working devices are dismantled and recycled through a licensed recycling partner, so hazardous parts are handled safely.
Is an e-waste donation tax deductible?
No. Donations of goods do not qualify for a tax deduction under Section 80G, for individuals or businesses. Companies receive recycling and data destruction certificates for their asset disposal records.
How does a housing society run an e-waste drive?
Message us with your society name and a preferred date. We send a poster and WhatsApp message for residents, set up a collection point on the day, and credit the value of what is collected to your society fund with a Green Society certificate.
What happens to donated electronics?
Working devices are refurbished and reused. Everything else is dismantled and recycled through a licensed recycling partner, so metals are recovered and hazardous parts do not end up in landfill.
