Lead scrap grades and how they price
Lead (सीसा) scrap is priced by how clean and pure it is. The cleaner the metal, the less a smelter has to refine it, and the closer your rate gets to the top of the range.

How we set today’s rate
Indian scrap rates have no official daily list. We start from the international refined lead price, converted to rupees each day, and apply a scrap factor for grade and processing cost. That is why our rate moves with the market instead of staying fixed for weeks.
Getting the top of the range
- Keep batteries upright and do not drain or break them. Acid is hazardous.
- Separate soft lead from wheel weights and hard alloys.
- Ask for paperwork on bulk batteries. Businesses need to send them to an authorised recycler.
