Dead Laptop? We Pick It Up Free and Destroy the Hard Drive.
Won’t switch on, cracked screen, water damage, swollen battery or half the parts missing. Repair shops won’t touch it and buyback apps won’t quote it. We collect it, take care of the data you can’t delete, and recycle it properly.
- Donate free, or take ₹400–₹500 for a complete dead laptop
- Hard drive or SSD removed and physically destroyed
- Free pickup, even for one laptop
- Green Certificate in your name on WhatsApp
Every kind of dead laptop, and what we do with it
Won’t switch on at all
Usually a failed motherboard or charging circuit. We take out the drive first, then the rest goes for parts and recycling.
Cracked or black screen
The laptop may still run. If it does, we wipe it properly before anything else happens to it.
Water or tea damage
Monsoon leaks and spilled chai are common in Mumbai. Don’t keep trying to charge it. We collect it as-is.
Swollen battery
Stop using and charging it. Keep it on a tiled floor away from curtains or bedding. Mention it when booking and we bring a safe container. Read the guide.
Snapped hinge, cracked base
Collected as it is, even in pieces. Keep the parts together in a bag.
Parts missing
No battery, screen or drive? Still collected free, or bought at ₹200–₹350 for parts.
“It won’t switch on. How do I delete my data?”
A dead laptop still has your photos, documents, saved passwords and WhatsApp backups on its drive. Anyone with a cheap USB adapter can read a hard disk from a laptop that won’t boot. That’s why “just give it to the kabadiwala” is risky.
What we do: the hard drive or SSD is unscrewed from your laptop and physically destroyed so it can’t be read again. Your Green Certificate notes the data destruction.
Want to be sure? Choose one when you book:
- Keep the drive: we remove it at your door and hand it to you.
- Remove it yourself: on most laptops it’s under a small panel at the bottom, held by 1–4 screws.

Why a dead laptop shouldn’t go in the bin
Fire risk
Damaged lithium-ion batteries can catch fire when crushed in a garbage truck or at a dump yard.
Toxic parts
Circuit boards contain lead and other heavy metals that leach into soil and water when dumped or burnt.
Your data
A drive in a dead laptop is perfectly readable. Informal scrap chains rarely destroy it.
India’s E-Waste (Management) Rules expect laptops to reach authorised recyclers. Through us, the battery, boards and metals are processed through a licensed recycling partner.
Tell us what’s wrong with it
Fill this in, WhatsApp opens with your details, attach a photo, and send. We reply the same working day.
A single dead laptop is added to the next pickup route in your area. Or drop it at our Dahisar West, Kandivali West, Bhandup West branch or the Thane collection centre.
